But fear not, the wire lives on as part of our Anderson Cable range over at NB Camping Equipment.
Thank you to all who purchased this cable over the past 3 years!

The E-Commerce software we use has limited capabilities built in to support product variations. This means we required a plug in to provide the functionality of our custom cable builders to allow the 10s of thousands of combinations of speaker cables and interconnects we now offer. The bad news is, the way it is designed meant we couldn't offer discount codes and any discounts we did want to apply had to be done via manual invoices. Fortunately, that's now been fixed (albeit with ANOTHER plug in) but we can now offer discount codes til our hearts content!
In celebration, we offering a massive 20% of storewide. That literally means everything including cables, wire/parts, speaker kits etc. Simply use the discount code "YAYFORDISCOUNTS20" which has now been added to the cart page for 20% off your total order. As our long term customers know, we very rarely offer discounts as we feel we're priced appropriately and don't want to be one of those businesses that inflates prices, just to then apply a discount to make them appear cheaper. So make the most of it while you can!
This offer will expire at 11:59pm on Sunday the 10th of December.
]]>Working with Bambach Australia, we have been able to source not only a new wire but an upgraded one! Offering improved EMI shielding and flexibility, the Juiced Gymnast MK2 wire more than fills the shoes of our previous generation wire.
Being a more intricate wire to manufacture, it is quite a bit more expensive so we have had to bump up the price of these cables over our previous generation. The good news is, it's only a few bucks on shorter lengths where most of the demand is for Interconnects so we're fortunate to stay competitive.
All of our Interconnects are now back in stock. In addition, the new wire will be suited to Phono RCAs so the ET will be back soon!
You can check out each interconnect here:
Thanks for your patience as we worked to get these back online. We were lucky these weren't out of action for long.

Up until now, our customers were a little restricted in variations. Sure, we had different gauge wire options, different coloured sleeving on our 11 AWG cables and we had a few special editions which utilised different plugs. But now, you can pick and choose any variation in nearly everything we've ever offered utilising our super easy to use 'Speaker Cable Builder'! Want a Naked 13 AWG speaker cables with banana plugs? You can do that. Want a 14 AWG speaker cable with red sleeve, spade plugs on one end and Krix on the other? You can do that!
On top of that, we've made a few design changes and upgrades to our cables.
So exactly what's changing?
What stays the same?
Head over to our 'Speaker Cable Builder' and Speaker Cable Builder - Bi-Amp/Bi-Wire pages to build your cable!
We will have a limited supply of heatshrink to recreate our old cables for those that want to match their existing NB Speaker Cables.
Thanks to all those that have supported us over the years and made this possible. Every cable you buy supports not only us and our determination to continue offering quality products but supports Australian manufacturing and keeping money local!

As a result, the following cables will be showing 'Out of Stock':
This is also our answer to those requesting a more 'refined' looking cable that matches the looks of our pricey competitors (without the price tag of course). No need to add a bottle of snake oil to this bad boy, it's already drenched in it!
Staying true to our name, we're not going to pretend this cable will audibly perform any better than our other range of cables. At the end of the day, it's still the humble copper wire at the heart of the cable that does all the work. The Elitist is just more dressed up and satisfies the demand for a more traditional looking high end cable.
One thing we do love about this cable is the new wire we've sourced. One of the shortfalls of flat cables is flexibility, the Elitist instead uses a circular sheath/insulation with a more flexible PVC sheath compared to our other range of cables. This combined with a thinner, higher strand count, totalling 14 AWG, makes for a highly flexible cable (you can quite literally tie it in a tight knot!) while still providing a more than adequate gauge to reduce power loss. This is all dressed up with Techflex sleeving, cable pants (vs our typical heatshrink) and fancy looking plugs.
While this cable does start venturing into 'pricey' territory and certainly won't be for everyone, it will satisfy those craving that high end look without having to pay thousands. As with all our cables, you're also getting a handmade cable using Australian Made wire.
You can find it here: The Elitist
]]>Introducing Proteus, a Balanced 3 pin XLR interconnect made from Australian Manufactured Instrumentation cable matched with Neutrik connectors. Named after the Greek God Proteus, associated with Protean meaning flexible/versatile.
This is definitely the XLR we've been missing. Don't get us wrong, we love our Erebos/Demeter but where they fell short was flexibility. Proteus more than fixes that while offering significantly better screening than our previous Greek Demigod. It also comes in a 'Naked' and 'Sleeved' version like all our other cables for those that prefer to keep costs down or go all out and have their setup looking cool too.
This cable offers improvements across the board over our the Greek Demigod and we were able to achieve this with a minor increase in cost, as such, we have discontinued our Greek Demigod.'

With Copper being the heart and soul of our cable, it's no surprise that this affects us. Between our wholesaler and ourselves, we have been able to largely absorb this. Despite the large increase in cost, the majority has not been passed on up until now however with the new financial year rolling over and our first delivery of wire happening this month, we have seen a pretty hefty jump in pricing!
Unfortunately, this does mean we will have to increase the price of our cables with speaker cables being the most affected given they contain the most copper, the good news is it will only be a few % on most of our cables meaning only a few bucks here and there. Interconnects will see a smaller increase given there's less copper in these cables.
As always, we appreciate the love and support and look forward to a busy and fun 2021.

]]>NBSC will be changing over the heatshrink used in a large portion of our cables. Previously, we have used a glue lined heatshrink which we have cut to length ourselves. We have since been in touch with a new supplier who will be able to cut our heatshrink to length using their machine. The benefits of this will be consistency and accuracy through a higher quality product as well as extra flexibility.
Our previous heatshrink was a generic brand, the new heatshrink is actually made by 'Techflex', the same manufacturers of our sleeving.
The change will affect all our speaker cables with the exception of our 'Krix Edition', the design of this cable requires thicker heatshrink. We may however look at updating the design in the future.
Below is a comparison pic of the old (left) and new (right) heatshrink. It is a deeper red, thinner and more flexible so keep this in mind when matching it up to any previous cables purchased. We do have a limited amount of the old heatshrink left over so if you're wanting to match your old cables, let us know and we can use the old stuff for as long as we have stock!

Kingpin: The new mob leader! Just when you thought 11 AWG was overkill, we beefed things up further with an 8 AWG speaker cable. With nearly twice the cross sectional diameter of wire and nearly half the resistance, we're sure this one will be popular with those that like to take things a little too far!
OMDO (Old Man Dr Octopus): After months on side line, Dr Octopus is back but now a little more distinguished. It's great to be back offering a Bi-Wire/Bi-Amp option and we're stoked we've been able to source a equivalent wire, still made here in Australia.
Sidekick: Every Superhero needs a Sidekick! Quite simply another colour to choose from in our main 11 AWG range. We've made custom red speaker cables in the past and love how they come up so it made sense this is the next colour to release.
White Knight: You'll be the knight in shining white armour when you run yet another choice of colours on our 11 AWG range, white! High WAF as these cables near on disappear against your cream coloured walls... Or stand out like dogs balls against your dark home theatre walls!
The Greek Gymnast: By far the most requested 'custom' cable we do. So much so, we've added it to our regular range. The XLR to RCA cable! These have a heap of uses where regular XLR/XLR or RCA/RCA input/outputs aren't possible and like all our cables, run an Australian Made wire.
With all our cables, every one of the above come in an equivalent 'Naked' version for those who are conscious of budget or not bothered about looks.
Your continued support makes expanding our range possible, so to say thanks and celebrate the new releases, we're offering 10% off storewide for the remainder of May! Simply use the code "PRODUCTDROP10" at checkout and the discount will be applied.
Thanks again crew and happy listening!
]]>Unfortunately, the main reason for a couple of our cables being out of stock is they wire used in the cables is being discontinued. Currently this affects our Dr Octopus, E.T. cable and soon our Juiced Gymnast along with possibly our Bodybuilder. As you all know, every one of our cables uses wire made here in Australia. Unfortunately, due to cost, most companies are now purchasing imported cable, mostly from China. In most instances, the end user won't even know what cable they're receiving so from a businesses perspective, as long as the cable ticks all the minimum requirements, they may as well get the cheapest cable possible. Given the extremely low cost of manufacturing in places like China, this means the cheapest option won't be Australian made. What this has led to is lower demand for local product and local manufacturers unable to justify manufacturing certain types of cables.
Dr Octopus: We have managed to find a suitable alternative for the Dr Octopus but could only source it in a grey sleeve. He will be getting a bit of a name change but will continue to do what he does best!
E.T.: We only found out very recently that this wire is also being discontinued. We bought the last small roll left in the country and are currently looking for alternatives. Fortunately, it looks like we have a fair few options here so a replacement shouldn't be far away!
Juiced Gymnast: Currently one of our most popular cables. While it has been discontinued, there is still a decent amount of stock around so we have bought up as much as reasonably possible which will give us plenty of time to come up with an alternative.
Bodybuilder: Since the introduction of the Juiced Gymnast, sales of the Bodybuilder are bordering on non-existent! It was the first 'non speaker cable' we offered and it will be sad to see it go.
Fortunately for our Superhero, Inbetweener and Demeter cables, we are simply out of stock of the wire or sleeve with more expected soon.
We continue to be humbled by the support and feedback we receive. But also know that when you buy from us, you also make a small contribution to maintaining local manufacturing which we think is pretty special!
]]>As all our cables are custom made to order, from the 1st of March 2021 there will be a up to a 1 week lead time on all cable orders from day of placing the order to when the cable is made with the cables being posted the next business day.
As an example, if you place an order on a Monday, the cable will be made by the following Monday and posted the next day on the Tuesday. Fortunately, this will be a worse case scenario with the majority of orders still expected to be made within 2-3 business days and posted the following business day but we do ask your work on the 1 week lead time to avoid disappointment over time frames.

]]>We've now got help!
In the past 6 months, we have been getting help from a friend in assembling our cables. We will do a little spiel about our new member of the team (Mark) in the coming months but we were very fortunate to find someone who was willing and capable of meeting the same standards we expect of ourselves when assembling all our cables. As a electrician by trade, he picked it up almost instantly and has even introduced new techniques and efficiencies in our processes. By having Mark join the team we have been able to share the work load and focus on all aspects of our life (work and personal) without sacrificing the products and services we offer.
New & Modified Cables
We're continually mucking around with different cable offerings and have a few more on the horizon. We are (if I get my $hit together) just weeks away from offering a couple new cables, with the most exciting being a step up from our Vigilante cable... an 8 AWG version whose name will be revealed soon. Yes, 8 AWG is way overkill (even more so than the 11 AWG version) but hey, we do it because we can and we know resistance is king when it comes to speaker cables.
Unfortunately, while for us the wire used in our Dr Octopus cable has been extremely popular, it's just not enough to have a full run for the manufacturer meaning this wire will be discontinued in the near future. We have possibly found a few alternatives and given it's popularity will definitely be coming up with something, but the life of old mate Dr Octopus is currently in limbo. We do have a limited amount left so if you're after bi-wire and bi-amp cables, now's the time!
DIY Speaker Kits
To my fiancés dismay, this has been a massive focus for us the past few months, just when she thought I couldn't spend any more time in my workshop, I further indulge in my love of audio and pursue speaker building, more specifically designing speakers that will suit DIY kits. It's taking a little longer than we would have liked, but these ARE coming and will be starting with a very DIY friendly 2 way before no doubt evolving into a much more comprehensive range. For those that keep an eye on us on our Social Media, you would be following the progress and had a sneak peak of the bookshelf design we've been working on.
Life outside of NBSC
Things are looking pretty different for the brothers behind NBSC going into 2021. We have finished up our full time roles at our other jobs to focus on a new venture of our own within the same industry. While this has added some much appreciated flexibility, those that run small businesses know how much time and energy businesses can consume... let alone now having 2 with one being in start up phase!
What this does mean is to maintain a healthy balance between our work and personal lives, we will be changing up our ordering processing time frames.
New Order Processing Time Frames

]]>We have a few options. A basic cable recommended for short lengths, a version guaranteed to fulfil your 4k needs for runs longer than 10m and an 8K version for those that want to future proof their set up.
While we don't manufacture these cables, they align with our 'No Bullsh*t' philosophy. We use the basic version of these HDMI cables in our own systems. They're well built, serve the purpose they're designed for and they're a reasonable price. Much like our own cables!
For those requiring longer runs or want to future proof their setup, we offer 4k and 8k RuiPRO cables. RuiPRO needs very little introduction being a staple for those wanting to 4k signals over long lengths.

]]>When purchasing our cables you not only get a great, 'no bs' product, you support Australian manufacturing and Australian small business.
]]>As many of you know, NB Speaker Cables isn't our primary occupation. We both work full time for 45-50 hours per week managing a construction company and make up these cables after work and over the weekend.
Small price increases from time to time ensure the business continues to be sustainable without taking too much time out of our personal lives and away from family and friends. We really enjoy what we do and continue to be humbled by your support but we also need to make sure we make time for all aspects of our lives.
The increase won't be large, less than 5-10% on most cables with other cables having no price increase at all. The price increases will be effective from Monday the 27th of April.
We thank you all for your ongoing support and making NB Speaker Cables what it is today.

]]>"A shout out to an interesting cable company in Australia - NB ("No BS") Speaker Cables. Be careful with the Snake Oil, and maybe someone can let us know how the Burn In worked out. Love the honesty and humor, guys. Good luck with the business!"
We liked the cut of this guys jib, so we got in contact with him exchanged a few comments and emails for a few months and talked about the weird and wonderful world of audio. Recently, Archimago posted another article where he measured a range of speaker wires for resistance, inductance and capacitance with the most important being resistance. Why is resistance so important? To put it as simply as possible, the lower the resistance of a cable, the more power gets from the amp to the speaker resulting in the least decibel loss. His findings were expected, with the thicker gauge cables being the least resistant and therefore displayed the least decibel loss when measured.
In the same article Archimago threw around the idea of testing consumer available speaker cables including an expensive/exotic cable he had access to. We couldn't help but offer to throw our hat (or cable!) in the ring, which lead to his latest article when he put our humble NB Speaker Cables 'Vigilante' cable up against a Slinkylinks cable made of pure silver worth more than 10x our Vigilante!
I won't go too in depth, as the article itself does that for you, but to summarise his findings, OBJECTIVELY (being the real world, proven science of what we can measure and define as a 'quality' speaker cable), we blew the Slinklinks out of the water!
Was this a surprise? Not at all. Why? Because the science behind what makes a quality speaker cable has been heavily researched and unchanged for 40+ years and it's the same philosophy we've built our cables on, it's that 'resistance is king'.
The measurements:
NB Speaker Cables 'Vigilante': 10' (4m) length with a 4Ω load, the 20kHz roll-off would be about -0.0065dB.
Slinkylinks: 10' (4m) length with a 4Ω load, the 20kHz roll-off would be about -0.026dB.
4x less roll off at 20kHz.
Why did our cable perform so much better? It's simple, our cable is a much thicker gauge even accounting for the slight benefit in using silver over copper. The larger gauge allowed for less resistance, equating in less roll off.
Despite all the mumbo jumbo of pure silver wire, air dielectrics and whatever other marketing buzzwords one could come up with for a cable, it objectively performed worse.
But does this actually equate to the Vigilante being 'better' sounding cable? Honestly, not to the vast majority of people that listen to them. Despite measuring at 4x the resistance, the actual dB loss difference between both cables was a fraction of a decibel! Very few, if any human that has ever existed could identify a difference that small.
Which cable performed better subjectively?
This is where it all gets very complicated. In this instance, Archimago felt our Vigilante cable performed better. But how does one determine what sounds better 'subjectively' as after all it's... subjective! This is where the psychology behind speaker cables is far more interesting than the science. I touch on this in my most recent article here.
In my opinion, what makes a cable sound better subjectively comes down to that persons impression of the cable, whether the difference is audible to another cable or not. It's why cable companies have been so successful over the years using buzzwords and marketing to sell what we have clearly shown to be an inferior product.
So what point are you trying to prove here?
A part of our mission here at NB Speaker Cables is to educate people away from feeling like they have to spend thousands on speaker cables for a quality cable. We want to cut through all the bullshit and provide a product that uses the proven, long term evidence of what makes a great cable and offer that product at a reasonable price with a range that looks cool and supports Australian Manufacturing at the same time.

]]>Our 'Krix Edition' range of speaker cables share the same Australian Made 11 AWG speaker wire as our Vigilante/Superhero/Villain cables but instead they are paired with higher quality BFA style banana plugs by Krix.
Like our other cables, our 'Krix Edition' speaker cables are just as 'no bullsh*t'. We don't claim that these will do anything fancy over our existing range, though BFA style banana plugs do offer a higher contact area vs regular banana plugs, is this audible? Probably not! What you will be getting is a cable that further supports Australian jobs/businesses, encourages partnerships with a shared goal in the Australian audio industry and of course the bragging rights of some pretty cool looking cables that carry the Krix name.
Krix needs very little introduction here in Australia, regarded as one of the best speaker manufacturers in the world making exceptional speakers for both home and cinema for over 40 years right here in South Australia. Like us, Krix support Aussie jobs/manufacturing, something we pride ourselves on by using Australian Made Tycab wire in all our Speaker Cables. NB Speaker Cables aspires to be even half the business Krix is and it's a pleasure to be able to offer a range of products that shares their name.

]]>We’ve had dozens of requests over the past 12 months for a Bi-Wire/Bi-Amp option and while sourcing the 4 core wire required in Bi-Wire/Bi-Amp is quite easy, unless it’s custom ordered, everything used here in Australia is imported. NB Speaker Cables prides itself on using Australian Manufactured wire in all our speaker cables and we wanted our Bi-Wire/Bi-Amp options to be exactly the same. By working with Bambach Cables, we’ve come up with a suitable 14 AWG option which fills this space.
It's certainly been a long time coming and not without it's hurdles. At the end of 2019, we finally received the wire itself... but, it turned out to be tinned copper, not 100% copper. For more details on that debacle, click here. Since then, we have gone back to Bambach and managed to source new wire which arrived in the past few weeks.
Dr Octopus is available in 'Sleeved' and 'Naked' versions. While our standard offering is black sleeve, we can source just about any colour you can think of! Flick us an email and we can discuss your options.
Dr Octopus and the Naked Doctor Octopus is definitely our proudest release. We feel it has summed up and cemented all the effort we have put into NB Speaker Cables in the past 2 years. We pride ourselves on Australian Made wire and custom cables, made to order. Dr Octopus combines both of these to a level we hadn't achieved before. NBSC is the reason this 4 core wire now exists, it supports Australian manufacturing and it's custom made to order. We're not going to sugar coat it, we're bloody proud of this one!
We want to take this opportunity again to thank you all for the support over the past 2 years. We've now sold hundreds of cables across kms and kms of wire and they're now being used in nearly a dozen countries. While we've come so far, we feel this is just the beginning! We feel the potential of NBSC and the traction our 'No Bullsh*t' mantra is gaining in the audio industry will take us far! For that, we thank you all.
As always, with much love <3
Micah & Jeshua Miller - Co-Founders and the brothers behind NB Speaker Cables.
]]>NB Speaker Cables will be taking some time off over Christmas. Our last day making cables will be Wednesday the 18th of December. We will then be back on board on and making cables on Wednesday the 8th of January.
What does this mean for orders? We will still be making up orders on Wednesday the 11th of December with the next and last run being Wednesday the 18th of December (we are busy Sunday the 15th of December!). Any orders placed after 5pm (SA Time) on Wednesday the 18th of December will be posted on Thursday the 9th of January. We may be able to squeeze in some orders over this break but this isn't guaranteed!
Changes to Pricing
For those that know us or have taken the time to read our website, you would know that NB Speaker Cables isn't our full time job. We work together managing a large construction company, which in itself has seen snowballing growth over the past 12-18 months. The same thing is happening with NB Speaker Cables, we've gone from a handful of orders a month to dozens of cables a week some weeks! We are a 2 man army when it comes to NBSC. We do everything from maintaining and marketing the website to hand making every cable sold. While we love what we do at our full time jobs and with NBSC, we need to ensure it's sustainable while having the time to enjoy our hobbies and spend time with our families. As such, we will be increasing prices from 1 January 2020. Not to worry though, it will only be a few bucks per cable here and there. We will still pride ourselves on what we believe to be the best bang for buck and no bullsh*t cables on the market!
Update on Bi-Wires
For those that followed our Bi-Wire cables debacle (see here if you didn't!), we have had some good news this week with the correct run of wire being manufactured and due for delivery mid-late Jan! Which means by early-mid Feb, we should finally be offering Bi-Wire/Bi-Amp cables! Exciting stuff!
A big thanks!
Thanks again to everyone that has supported us over the past 18 months. We still love what we do with NBSC which is why we're ensuring it stays sustainable. We're so flattered by the continuous kind feedback and thanks we get from all our NBSC users.
Much Love <3,
Micah & Jeshua Miller
]]>We have contacted the manufacturer and will await a response. We signed off on a 'plain copper' spec sheet, not this...
Does tinned copper make an audible difference? Honestly, probably not! Tinned copper is less conductive/more resistant vs plain copper when using the same gauge but over the distances we use and the thin layer of tin used, it likely wouldn't make an audible difference. But it's just still not right. It doesn't align with our other cables and we can't help but feel we're falling short by offering it.
Unfortunately, this means Bi-Wire/Bi-Amp cables won't be available any time soon. We will do our best to keep you all in the loop and fingers crossed we can get our hands on something suitable in the near future.
]]>NB Speaker Cables is proud to introduce our line of Balanced XLR cables. We’re always asking what you want next and these cables consistently came back as a priority.
We like giving a theme to each type of cable we offer, for Balanced XLRs, we’ve gone with Greek Gods!
We’re offering these cables in 4 versions, 2 sleeved and of course a ‘Naked’ version along with a 'budget' version. Appropriately colored, our sleeved versions are Erebos (black sleeve), representing the personification of darkness, and Demeter, the Greek Goddess of Agriculture (green sleeve).
As with our other cables, we have sourced wire from Tycab meaning it’s manufactured in Australia. The cable we have chosen for our 'higher end' models is perfect for Balanced XLRs, it combines 2x runs of copper for the ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ connections and a shielded RG59 cable for the ground connection all housed in 10mm OD flexible PVC insulation.
This cable is THICK, so thick, we actually struggled to track down some suitable connectors for it. Thankfully, Neutrik offers an oversized connector that is the perfect match! Despite its thickness, it’s surprisingly flexible, more flexible than our RG6 RCAs.
We feel we’ve gone to another level with these cable. If anything, we probably went a little over the top! We’ve not going to pretend that these are as competitively priced as our speaker cables and RCAs, but being this heavy duty while maintaining solid flexibility, being made from Australian manufactured wire and handmade to order, we still feel they’re great value!
Fortunately, we’re releasing a cheaper variant along side them (called the 'Greek Demigod' for those that still want a handmade, Australian manufactured cable but can't justify the cost of our more expensive models.
You can find them here.
JUMPERS
Bi-Amp/Bi-Wire cables are just around the corner, but in the meantime, we're offering 'Jumpers'. Utilising the same 13 AWG wire from our 'All Rounder' cable, they're a cost effective way to achieve bi-wiring of your speakers. They come in any combination of Spade and Banana connectors.
You can find them here.
]]>The good news is, the cable has been ordered. The bad news is, the lead time is longer than originally anticipated!
We're being told 8-10 weeks before we see it in our hands which means 10-12 weeks before it hits the website (which puts us at early October at the latest).
We're super keen on these so we will be hoping to make them available as soon as we can. We will keep you all updated on their progress!
________________________________________________________________________________________________________
G'day fellow audio enthusiasts!
This week alone we've had 4 inquiries about bi-wire/bi-amp cables with another 15-20+ over the past 6-12 months. I wanted to share with you where we are at with them. Long story short, they are coming!
We pride ourselves on providing Australian Manufactured speaker wire, sourcing this in a 2 core version for regular speaker cables is very easy. What we've discovered is a 4 core version, which is used for bi-wiring, is MUCH harder. While it does exist, the minimum order quantities are typically 3km+! One version we encountered was 10km! A little more than our humble little speaker cable company can offer.
We've recently been working with Bambach (another Australian manufacturer of cable) who are willing to work on a lower minimum order quantity. We expect to see the cable in our hands in the next 3-5 weeks meaning we will be ready to release the cables in 6-8 weeks (see details below for updated time frames)!
The initial run will be a 14 AWG version which suit our current banana plugs. A 12 AWG version will follow in the future but we will initially be testing the waters with the 14 AWG version. It will be offered in Naked and Sleeved versions, just like our Superhero/Villain/Vigilante cables.
In all honesty, we are not a big believer in passive bi-wiring. We feel though there might be a slight audible difference over standard wiring, it is not enough to be audible. That doesn't mean we're not willing to offer them for those that prefer them. We like to give the people what the want!
On a side note, we want to apologise for the delay in XLRs. The 'prototypes' are done, they work, we're happy with them. The delay has been in 'honing' our soldering skills now all we need to do is get some photos done and get them on the website! We're in a good position to have them launched next week!
Thank you all for your support and patience. As always, you're welcome to email us on sales@nbspeakercables.com.au with any comments, queries or feedback!

As all our cables are custom made to order, there will usually be a couple day gap between when you place your order and when they are shipped.
As of May 2019, we now make up cable orders on Wednesday's and the weekend. They will then be posted the following business day. Any order placed before 5pm (SA time) will follow this guideline. Ie, place an order on Monday, your order will be made up Wednesday evening and posted Thursday. Or, place an order on Friday at 4pm (SA Time), your order will be made up over the weekend and posted Monday.
Orders placed on Sunday of each week may be captured in that same days run but will likely be made in the next Wednesday's run.
We also offer a 'Priority Service' (found here) for those that want their cables posted within 24 hours.
We do our best to meet these guidelines but orders may be delayed an extra day depending on how many orders need to be made up that evening (we're only a 2 man army)! If this does happen, we will let you know.
We do tend to have the odd holiday/vacation where we aren’t making cables, but we will be sure to make this obvious on our website with an expected time frame.
]]>Our humble little speaker cable business has and continues to grow far quicker than our expectations. What started as a hobby to create a little spending money for our own gear is turning into quite a big commitment! For that, we can't thank you all enough! But at the same time, we do need to manage the hours we spend on NB Speaker Cables so we can still enjoy time with family and friends and of course, time enjoying our own audio gear. Both Micah and I still currently have other full time jobs working 45-50+ hours per week in addition to NB Speaker Cables so I am sure you can see where we don't have much time for ourselves!
As such, we are making a few changes to better manage the hours we spend on NB Speaker Cables.
Well chaps and chappettes, I think that's about all from us for now. Thanks again for all your support.
]]>A recent enquiry has given us a good excuse to add automated shipping at checkout for New Zealanders!
Postage rates are as follows:
This will be calculated automatically based on your order. As with all other International Shipping prices, this is simply what we are charged to post the item. We don't add any extra "meat" in it.
Cheers!
Good news! We've released some new cables! We've acknowledged (and agreed) with your feedback that our Superhero and Villain cables are a little 'out there'. While these cables are a heap of fun, we needed something to offset all the madness and have toned it down a little with our 'Vigilante' cable. Made with the same wire, the 'Vigilante' has opted for a more modest all black sleeve to blend in with the rest of your system.
We've applied the same logic to our Interconnects and have added the 'Powerlifter' to the line up which is made up of the same RG6 Coaxial cable found in the 'Bodybuilder'.
All this normality was a bit much, so to keep things exciting we're doing a Limited Edition 'Boxing Kangaroo' AND combining it with a giveaway. This little number will be available until Monday the 4th of February so get in quick if you want to jag one.
Details of the giveaway can be found here.
As a bit of a brief update, we have had a lot of suggestions for Balanced XLR cables so will be making this our next priority. We just need to sort out some suitable wire that is manufactured in Australia and adequate, well priced plugs. As usual, we will be offering a naked and sleeved version. We are open to suggestions about the name too so feel free to flick through your suggestions.
As always, we very much thank you all for your support and are just an email away if you have any questions, comments or feedback.
Cheers,
Micah & Jeshua
